Revelation Song

One of the best songs I know is called "Revelation Song." It's a simple name, and the title is appropriate. Almost all the words are direct quotations from the actual book of Revelation, and they are put to such a beautiful tune. Here are the words and references...

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain (Revelation 5:12)

Holy Holy is He

Sing a new song to Him who sits on Heaven's mercy seat

Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty (Romans 4:8)

Who was and is and is to come (Romans 4:8)

With all creation I sing "Praise to the King of Kings!"

You are my everything

And I will adore you. (Chorus)

Clothed in rainbows of living colors,

Flashes of lightning rolls of thunder (Revelation 4:5)

Blessing and honor

Strength and glory and power be (Revelation 5:12)

To You the only wise King

Filled with wonder

Awestruck wonder

At the mention of Your name

Jesus Your name is power

Breath, and Living Water

Such a marvelous mystery

Isn't that such a beautiful song? I just love it. Whenever I hear it I remember how awesome God is.

I still remember the first time I heard it, too! I was at the Apples of Gold speech tournament and Mrs. Frye was playing it on the guitar.... Anyway, since then it's been one of my favorite songs. I had better go get ready for bed. Tomorrow is VBS again! I can hardly wait.

Signing off,

Rachel

Thank you for sharing that with us :) I do think you may want to change the spelling for "slain" though :)

When we lived back in Redding, before we moved, my church used to sing that song in worship a lot. I was able to lead it once- and I loved it. The words in that song are so incredible- and I'm very glad that you like them so much as well! Love ya!!!
